Taste the sweet life, at Eastlands

Post by: Eastlands Estate, 05 Dec 2017

We all know Eastlands dishes up the best in secure, upmarket independent living for active over 50s. But did you know it also boasts an outstanding restaurant serving the most tantalising treats?

Managed by Geratec, the restaurant features everyday favourites, as well as gourmet delights, at budget-friendly prices.

Where else could you find baked camembert topped with mixed nuts and drenched in honey, served with roasted balsamic grapes and crostini; or biltong and blue cheese quiche with a side salad, for less than R60 a portion?

That’s not to mention the breakfasts, like our famous One Pan Brekkie. This one-pan wonder comes with two fried eggs, three rashers of bacon, grilled tomatoes, a lamb sausage, fried mushrooms and toast, all for just R60!

And then there are our burgers – homemade 150g pure beef patties or grilled chicken breasts, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, caramelised onions and dill cucumbers, and served with a hearty helping of chips, for just R50. Or make it your way, and tuck into any of our extra sauces or toppings.

Plus there is a range of toasted sandwiches available (R30-R50); scones, muffins, pastries and cakes (R20-R30); salads (R35-R65); mains, including vegetarian and meat options (R45-R70); desserts (R15-R45); and teas, coffees and juices.

Special mention must be given to the restaurant’s signature dessert: chocolate fondant, a rich chocolate cake with a warm chocolate centre. How can you not be tempted by such mouth-watering deliciousness?

The restaurant is open to the public from 7am to 9pm, Tuesday to Saturday; from 7am to 2pm on Sunday; and is closed on Monday.

The coffee shop is open every day, 7am to 5pm, serving light meals and coffee.

A buffet/plated meal can be ordered, but must be booked 24-hours in advance.
